Robert Sorrell, O.D., FAAO
Dr. Sorrell graduated from Miami University in Oxford where he was a major in Chemistry and Zoology. He then graduated from the The Ohio State College of Optometry. He is currently on hospital staff at Atrium Hospital - formerly Middletown Regional Hospital and The Dayton Veterans Affairs hospital in Dayton. He also is on teaching staff at The Ohio State College of Optometry, University of Indiana College of Optometry and Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He has served on the Ohio State Board of Optometry and has been President of the Association of Regulatory Boards in Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and has served on the Federal Relations Committee, member of the Ohio Optometric Association, and has achieved Fellowship in the American Academy Of Optometry. He is currently doing research in glaucoma and is a member of the Optometric Glaucoma Society.
Dr. Sorrell has been a lifelong resident of the Middletown area along with his wife Marcia who is a teacher at Butler Tech. He has been a Board member of the Middletown Area YMCA, past president of the Middletown United Way, Member Executive Committee Cincinnati United Way, Board Member John XXIII School, Chair Fenwick Festival, and Elder First Presbyterian Church.
